Woman Wonders: Should I Tell Him That I Cheated?

I made a really bad mistake a couple weeks ago and cheated on my boyfriend when I was on a weekend getaway with a few of my friends. It was just a random guy I met in a bar. My boyfriend and I had gotten into a really big fight right before I left and I was still pissed at him. I know that doesn’t justify it. I was drunk and it happened. Part of me wants to admit to my boyfriend what happened. I think he needs to know how upset he made me and he needs to be reminded that there are consequences for mistreating me. If he cheated on me, I would want to know. Of course, I’m also afraid he might just break up with me. I don’t want that to happen but I really do want to tell him.

Dear, if a man mistreats you that doesn’t give you the right to put yourself in a situation to cheat on him. Your motive for telling him is all wrong. If there is no way for him to find out…save him the heartache.

Are you being serious, did you actually just say that you want to show him that there are consequences for fighting with you. I would tell him, but you do know that if you try to pull that card you will be in a heap of trouble. If you don’t tell him then he will just find out later in life and will be even more pissed. You need to seriously re-think your motives for telling him…
