The New York Daily News is reporting that Roger “The Roid Rocket” Clemens allegedly carried on an affair with country music star Mindy McCready:
Roger Clemens carried on a decade-long affair with country star Mindy McCready, a romance that began when McCready was a 15-year-old aspiring singer performing in a karaoke bar and Clemens was a 28-year-old Red Sox ace and married father of two, several sources have told the Daily News.
Of course, Clemens lawyers are denying that the relationship was of a sexual nature. Such a good Platonic friend was he that Clemens supposedly sent the troubled crooner FedEx packages filled with bundles of cash when she was going through her numerous troubles with the law. And such a grateful mistress friend is she that details of the relationship may conveniently arise in the documentary and reality show she is hoping will rejuvenate her career. Nothing like publicity to fuel a comeback!
