New New York Governor David Paterson Is a Cheater, Too!

Wowy-zowy! Between, Jim McGreevey, Eliot Spitzer and New York State’s new Governor David Peterson, the New York-New Jersey area is just teeming with cheating Chief Executives! On Monday, his first day as Governor, Paterson (supposedly) came clean and revealed that he had previously had an adulterous affair “a woman” when he and his wife were having some marital issues “several years ago.” Then on Tuesday, when pressed further, he further revealed that–whoops!–there had actually been several women, and one of them even worked in Spitzer’s office and, therefore, now works for the new Governor himself. Demonstrating how low the bar has been set in Albany, Paterson reassured the public that none of the women directly reported to him and that no state funds were used to pay for the trysts at The Days Inn at 94th Street and Broadway. Classy! When he was asked if he ever used campaign funds for any of these motel expenses, he said he never knowingly did so. Stay tuned…
